About UsThe Don Pedro Jaramillo Shrine has been in the Barrera and Villareal family for over 100 years. It is located on Farm Road 1418, FM 1418 is just north of Falfurrias, Texas. The Don Pedro Jaramillo Shrine has taken over new ownership and but continues to be under the stewardship and management of the great granddaughter of Juan and Genoveva Barrera, the people who helped settle Pedro Jaramillo into South Texas in the 1880s. We at the Don Pedro Jaramillo Foundation are very grateful for Maria Dolores Villareal who has been instrumental in the continued renovation and preservation of this holy place of Latinos, Native Americans, Catholics, Curanderos and all those who believe in the spirit and the land of the Shrine of Don Pedro Jaramillo.
